400;\">Wealthy Global Citizens are individuals who possess significant assets and an annual income. To qualify for the LTR Visa under this category, the applicant must meet the following criteria:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hold assets worth at least $1 million.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Have an annual income of at least $80,000 for the past two years.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Make a minimum investment of $500,000 in Thai government bonds, foreign direct investment, Thai property, or a combination.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-m67g9x82-b3ff8e0365fc4c5ca7fd8c3655273fb0'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock text_16'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Update 22\/01\/2025:<\/p>\n<p>On January 14, 2025 Thailands Cabinet approved <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a proposal from the Office of the Board of Investment (BOI) to simplify LTR visa requirements for certain categories, including the LTR for Wealthy Global Citizens.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under the new proposal from the BOI, the requirement for LTR visa applicants to have an annual income of at least US$80,000 for two consecutive years before applying for the visa will be removed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The reason for the removal of this is because the BOI found that some applicants who met all the other relevant investment criteria were denied the visa because they failed to meet the US$80,000 annual income requirement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Please note, this has not become official yet, and is still in the early stages of the legislative process. The eligibility criteria for this category include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the time of application, have a personal income of at least $80,000 annually.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For individuals with an income below $80,000 but at least $40,000 per year, a minimum investment of $250,000 in Thai government bonds, foreign direct investment, Thai property, or a combination of these is required.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-lmfp13gq-7b4211f4f2c2536a367548d9f157fdbb'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock text_16'  itemprop=\"text\" ><h3><b>Work-from-Thailand Professionals<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Work-from-Thailand category is designed to attract remote workers employed by well-established foreign companies. Eligibility requirements for this category include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Have an annual income of at least $80,000 for the past two years.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additional criteria apply for individuals with an income ranging from $40,000 to $80,000 per year, including:\u00a0<\/span>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Holding a Master&#8217;s degree or above,\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">own intellectual property or\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">have received Series A funding.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Current employers must be publicly listed on a stock exchange or a private company with at least three years of operation and a combined revenue of at least $150 million in the past three years.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Applicants must ha<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ve at least 5 years of experience in their relevant fields over the past 10 years.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-m67gge4a-813b2a28b3458fdb20977dbbf59c6420'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock text_16'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>Update 22\/01\/2025:<\/p>\n<p>As part of <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the Board of Investments (BOI) proposal, there is also a reduction in the requirements for the Work from Thailand category as well.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Previously, one of the most important criteria for qualification was the requirement for the foreign employees company to, be a public company (listed on a stock exchange outside Thailand), or a private company that has been operating abroad for at least 3 years and have earned a revenue of not less than $150 million over the past consecutive 3 years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, the requirement for the company to have a revenue of over $150 million over the past 3 years has proven to be a stumbling block for applicants. As a result, the Cabinet agreed with the BOI\u2019s proposal to lower the income requirement from US$150 million to US$50 million in annual revenue over three years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Please note, this has not become official yet, and is still in the early stages of the legislative process. Eligibility criteria for this category include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Have an annual income of at least $80,000 for the past two years.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Additional criteria apply for individuals with an income ranging from $40,000 to $80,000 annually.
