This is important because the name of a company must not be identical or the same as other pre-existing companies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The following names and terms are cannot be used as part of a company name in Thailand:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Names similar or the same as ministries or government departments<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Names associated with the royal family<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Names similar to other companies<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Names that are misleading<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Names violating public morals<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Terms prohibited from being used in a company name, such as investment<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-lbdf6mb2-fd70c4d073b6d5f62f5321ecfec146dd'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock text_16'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Furthermore, company names cannot contain the term investment, but capital can be used.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Company names must also end with the word Limited.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Companies may use the same name for several companies, as long as the name is accompanied by a different figurative word, for example, XXX Holdings Ltd, XXX Capital Ltd, or XXX Trading Ltd.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Once a company has chosen a suitable name and checked that it is available, the name must be reserved with the Department of Business Development (DBD) of the Ministry of Commerce.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It is recommended to submit three different company names to increase the chances of your company name being reserved.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Please note that the name must be reserved in Thai, even if the name is in English.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Approval usually takes one business day.
