Holding a CBDC is equivalent to holding banknotes or real currency. The areas in which the CBDC will be used have been selected by the BOT, along with Bank of Ayudhya (Krungsi), Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) and 2C2P (Thailand).<\/p>\n<p>This first phase of testing is expected to commence by the end of 2022 and will last until mid-2023.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-l1eiuhjl-e83f7b9401732ccda02948a672f856ba'  itemscope=\"itemscope\" itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/BlogPosting\" itemprop=\"blogPost\" ><div class='avia_textblock text_16'  itemprop=\"text\" ><p>The second phase of the pilot scheme will be the \u201cInnovation Track\u201d. This phase will be used to focus on programmability and how to facilitate the development of the CBDC. The areas in which the CBDC will be used have been selected by the BOT, along with Bank of Ayudhya (Krungsi), Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) and 2C2P (Thailand).<\/p>\n<p>This first phase of testing is expected to commence by the end of 2022 and will last until mid-2023.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"av_textblock_section av-l1eiuhjl-e83f7b9401732ccda02948a672f856ba\">\n<div class=\"avia_textblock text_16\">\n<p>The second phase of the pilot scheme will be the \u201cInnovation Track\u201d. This phase will be used to focus on programmability and how to facilitate the development of the CBDC.
