2022 Tax filing deadlines for Thailand

Running a business in Thailand is subject to many tax filing deadlines, failure to meet these deadlines could result in penalties and surcharges being imposed on the company.
This article has been designed to help your business keep track of and meet the filing requirements of tax returns in Thailand.

If the company is registered for VAT
The following tax and payments are a mandatory requirements for companies registered for VAT.
Registration for VAT is mandatory for companies that supply goods or provide services in Thailand with an annual turnover exceeding THB 1.8 million and/or if the company hires a foreign employee. It is also possible to voluntarily register for VAT as well.

TVA on overseas payments (PP 36) | 7th of each month (15th for efiling) |
Please note, that any payment date that falls on the weekend or public holiday will be deferred until the first following business day.
If the company made payments for services
Withholding tax (“WHT”) is a deduction from payments made to suppliers who provide a service. Whether WHT is applicable and what rate to deduct depends on the nature of the service provided.
WHT also applies to interest and dividend payments.

If the company has employees
If your company has employees there is a mandatory contribution to be made by the company into the Social Security Fund. This contribution is to be paid for both Thai and foreign employees but the filing and payments are made by the employer.
Also, the Personal Income Tax of employees is paid by the employer on their behalf every month.

Following deadlines are applicable to any companies whose fiscal year ends on December 31st:
